Origami Owl® and the Military

February 4, 2014

Are you active duty military or a military spouse?  Whether you are stationed stateside, overseas, or your spouse is currently deployed, Origami Owl® has an option for you.  Origami Owl® can currently be sold in the United States, or on military bases around the world.  This makes Origami Owl® an excellent option for military spouses that are stationed overseas with their active duty spouse.  As a business that is highly transportable, it is easy to pack up and take with you for your next deployment.  You can choose to focus heavily on social media and online sales, making this direct sales company workable from literally anywhere.  And it’s a great way to meet new people who may share common interests, wherever you are stationed.

Some additional things to consider if you are active duty or a military spouse.

  • If you live on military housing, you will need to get permission from your base command to use your home for your business.
  • Be sure that your business will not create any type of conflict of interest with the military job for which you or your spouse are stationed.
  • Consider the ethical implications of soliciting to other members of the military of a junior ranking – including their spouses and dependents, and if this will have any impact on your ability to generate interest, leads, bookings, sales, and team members.

Would you like more information?  Let me connect you with one of the many active duty or military spouse Designers on my team – including ones who are deployed overseas.  They can tell you personally how well Origami Owl® works with their base and command, what questions to ask, and how they have been able to build successful part-time and supplemental income.  If you are thinking about Origami Owl®, choosing a mentor who is familiar with your unique situation will be valuable in helping successfully get started.
